Austin Anderson has over 25 years of consulting background in a broad range of assignments encompassing land use economics, development, business strategy formulation, and related disciplines.
Formerly Vice Chairman and President of Economics Research Associates between 1988 and 2000, Austin has conducted market analyses, marketing plans, valuations, industrial development studies, site location studies, and business strategy formulation studies for all major commercial, residential, industrial, and recreational land uses, for both private and public sector clients.
Mr. Anderson’s public sector experience includes new county government formation strategies for Peninsula, Canyon, and Fresno Counties; convention center, stadium, and arena studies, and long-term consulting services to major redevelopment projects in Pasadena, Los Angeles, and other cities. Private clients served include: The Irvine Company, Aerojet, Tejon Ranch Company, the Mayo Clinic, Mission Viejo Company, Prudential, Starwood Capital, Walt Disney Productions, Warner Bros., Westfield Ltd., and Watt Industries; as well as many sports teams, architectural firms, law firms, and leading smaller companies.
Austin received his B.S. degree from Stanford University and an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is currently an adjunct professor in real estate economics at the University of Southern California, and a member of the Urban Land Institute.
