Pro Forma Advisors conducted a market study for the Mississippi Aquarium project in downtown Gulfport, Mississippi. The analysis included research of the market context for the Project, review of available markets, market characteristics, competitive facilities, relevant comparable facilities, and preliminary estimates of attendance and revenue potential. Additionally, an Entertainment Strategy Review was conducted for an Amusement Pier concept in conjunction with the Centennial Plaza redevelopment project, located about two miles east of the Aquarium site. The goal of this analysis was to conduct preliminary market testing and develop preliminary program-sizing assumptions for the amusement pier concept.

As part of Parks! America due diligence process, Pro Forma Advisors were retained to assess the market opportunities, pro forma financial performance, and supportable investment value. The analysis was used to evaluate the the potential acquisition of Aggieland Safari Park, a high quality outdoor wild animal recreational attraction providing visitors with an intimate experience with an extensive and diverse inventory of wild animals. The park, opened in May 2019, is developed on a 250-acre portion of a 450-acre property.

Pro Forma Advisors evaluated a number of potential market locations for future Ripley’s Aquarium attractions. Work included preparing a market assessment and revenue forecast for each potential market location, as well as the comparison of submarkets and specific sites within the given regional market area. Sizing recommendations for exhibit areas and support amenities were also developed, based on achievable attendance and revenue potential.
