Pro Forma Advisors were retained to evaluate the development of a Discovery Rainforest Resort concept in the Hainan Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone that would include the development of new Discovery Garden and Jungle attractions, the Discovery Rainforest and Jungle Hotels, as well as a non-IP branded boutique hotel, RD&E, lagoon area, and related amenities.  The project is regarded as one of the top 12 projects in Hainan tourism by the provincial government.  While Hainan Island is well known for its tourism, the project has the potential to create a “first of its kind” development that includes unique synergies between Yanoda and the Discovery brand.  A key component of the development is a new water park hybrid concept that blends both wet and dry attractions as well as adventure elements within the natural setting of the Yanoda Rainforest.
