With over 35 years consulting experience in land use economics relating to market and feasibility assessment, financial analysis and appraisal. Gene is among the industry’s leaders in the evaluation of commercial recreation, golf course community development, and destination resorts, as well as traditional commercial real estate land uses.

Formerly a Senior Vice President at Economics Research Associates (ERA), Gene has been involved with the economic planning and third party due diligence for some of the most successful projects in North America including Ventana Canyon, Pinehurst, The Reserve at Indian Wells, SilverRock, Hualalai, Bandon Dunes, Palmetto Dunes, the Hana Maui, Wailea, the Irvine Company’s Newport Coast/Pelican Hill, expansion of the Hotel del Coronado, the Links at Half Moon Bay, Suncadia, and redevelopment of San Francisco’s Harding Park.

Gene received a B.A. in mathematics-economics from Pomona College in 1971, and an M.S. in Business Economics from UCLA’s Graduate School of Management in 1972. He is a General Commercial Appraiser certified by the State of California.
